A glimpse of the birth of a shoe...

It all started with that green dress I made on Sunday using that rather special vintage cotton...

Like all the best things in life, the whole escapade was fuelled by hot tea (drunk in a spotty mug)...

I saw those colours and a shoe popped into my head...

A shoe called VERITY.

She was quite beautiful... and she was not going to go away until I had made her real.

After pattern drafting and rummaging in a rainbow of leather, plucking clean wool from a fleece for the corsage centre, snipping up the snippets of the green dress, gathering thread and pins and ribbons... I stitched.

You cant see her yet because she isnt quite decent, but very soon pictures will follow...
