The shoes and bag went out on Sunday to Castle Drogo...
We threw caution to the wind and treated ourselves to lunch, then walked it off by strolling briskly around the garden. It was interesting to see the bones of it all laid bare by Winter...
I have a soft spot for Wisteria so particularly enjoyed this gnarly old specimen!
It was so foggy and dreary a day that the bareness rather suited the weather!
The family who built the castle also built a small wendy house in the castle grounds for their children. I snapped a picture through the tiny window...
I hung my poor salt stained (dropped it at the seaside...) Clemmie handbag on the door latch of 'Baby Bunty' cottage and took one last picture.
It was a fine outing and the day ended with hot buttered toast and tea... Perfect...
Last notes: Orders have been sent out today, always a good thing! The next batch is cut ready to sew alongside a pile of Drip and Jinks pouches. O and theres a POD in damson jam leather in there too...

I love wistaria, ours is growing across our 'temporary' front gate, crying out "hurry up and build that pergola!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day out, and a perfect ending :D
