9 days of life creates many images... starting on the swing in the greeness...
Then we decided to head down the woods and search for fawns... Mothers footsteps were found, and even a Mother but even though we searched high and low we couldnt find where she had hidden her young. Mr F held a newborn fawn just the day before...
We ended up caught in a downpour and returned home soaked to the skin but refreshed...
We had a birthday outing to the Otter and Butterfly sanctuary near Dartington. Littlest was chuffed to try out her new camera!
We watched feeding time!
We marvelled at underwater acrobatics...
Powerful feet that propelled them through the water...
And watched butterflies hatching before our eyes...
Row upon row of them...
Some were tattered and worn, nearing the end of their days, but still beautiful in my eyes...
And home to another birthday tea...
And another treacle jar to add to the shelf...
With treats especially made by big sister...
Because she is a golden star...
And birthday girl glowed like an angel...
And the wish was made...
We attended a family wedding in the very church where I was married all those years ago...
I was just a girl when I stood at this ancient alter 22 years ago...
The barn reception was spectacular... over 200 attended... I was quite overawed and went home with a headache by 9 oclock!
And Middlest finished her 11 Gcse's which considering she has only ever been to school for 2 1/2 years is quite an achievement... Hence the big relieved smile that its all over now!
I drove her the 20 odd miles to her last exam and we had a picnic on the way... with an icecream!
And enjoyed watching clouds, listening to skylarks and feeling sunshine on our faces...
And finally today brought roses and rhubarb and goosegogs... looks like jam tomorrow...
And the jacob cracker packet seemed to fill with sunshine and glowed like it had a little light bulb inside!
What will the next 9 days bring to Fairysteps Land?

How do you make gooseberry jam that tastes like something? I tried to make gooseberry jam once and it was terrible.
