Ive had such fun making these perfect little messenger bags! YSABEL and everyone different from the next one...
And another pile of RAGGLEBLOOMS. I know there are already lots in stock... but I sell an awful lot of these little treasures! They make such lovely gifts (if you can bear to part with them)...
In the workshop...
I may get on with my pile of cut bags tomorrow. I've been accumulating parts for a few months now! I think there are about 10 bags in the box after having a good rummage. Some are missing gussets so I will cut some to match. Found a small pile of cut NIB pen cases and fancy making some new red ones too, again, ready for Christmas sales. Seems so far away, but time goes so quickly doesn't it!
The rain continues here in Fairysteps Land. Relentless comes to mind as a way to describe the weather. My Eldest told me this morning (we were having a lazy cup of tea in bed together) that a late hot Summer is forecast... They say that EVERY year, and we all wait... counting the days waiting for the sunshine and haze that never comes. Depressing isnt it! Maybe the rumours arent a bad thing in way. We all know they arent true, but its always nice to hope. Its getting me down actually. I need to feel the sun on my skin.
In the home...
Watched Pride and Predjudice with the girls and made a nice new headband to keep my ears warm last night.
Mentally planned out my new blanket scheme and have I think decided which way to go with it. Always a good thing before starting something epic like a big blanket! I havent made any hexagony type crochet this year yet so I may use my Summer Garden pattern. BUT I plan on not following a Grandmothers flower garden design. Instead I want to make multi coloured hexagons with the last round always matching, and sometimes the second to last round as well. That way it will form almost a polka dot effect in the middles and across the blanket. I have masses of wool blend aran which with a 5.5mm hook will mean speedy progress. Im not even keen on following any particular scheme either. My aran is in 400gm balls so Im going to wind of lots and lots of smaller manageable balls in the 10 or so colours I have. That way its transportable for me to take wherever I go.
