Just a quick post to say that unfortunately as I am going slightly bonkers home here posting has been thin on the ground...
The accounts have taken me about 10 times longer than I expected and have been an absolute nightmare!!
BUT, I now have 3 tidy, orderly piles / mountains of paperwork on my sewing table. Hence the lack of sewing... or working... or anything other than bare essential housework, taxi driving and number crunching for the past 2 weeks.
Thank God Ive finished them.
I can now look forward to all the plans I have stored up...
- First and foremost I will be finishing a pile of shoe orders this week, starting tommorow and hopefully sending out by the end of the week. The new VERITY shoe will be amongst them so watch this space.
- I have decided that maybe I am not a long haired person anymore after all... and so the hair saga begins all over again. BUT, in view of me being 40 now and happy to give anything a go at least once I am having something Ive always wanted! I am going to ask my hairdresser (a work at home Mum, she's lovely!) who I havent seen for over a year now while the mop has grown, to cut my hair into a 1920's style possibly with a bit of curly wave added for bounce. Im taking the picture above as a guide. Its of the beautiful Irene Castle.
- To celebrate I am making a 1920's style dress from one of my vintage pattern collection to wear for my first outing... I think this type of hair style may be just the ticket as I feel in need of a lift.
My last note has to be... O glorious sun.

I absolutely adore the 20's, I live in a 1920's house.... and as for the fashions, WOW. Lucky you, having a vintage pattern, I personally love the drop waists,& they suit people that have had 4 children!
ReplyDeleteJolly good. A new hair style is always a nice little pick me up!

Good for you! Looks like quite the change is in store, and a pick-me-up is never a bad idea!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the new 'do'! I'm wondering the same thing lately...is it time to change my long-hair-since-I-was-5, for something shorter and funkier!? But I probably won't be brave enough to go for the big chop!
ReplyDeleteI think that style will look lovely on you. And the best thing about a hair cut is....if you don't like it, you can let it grow out again!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it.
